Memory Cards
Memory Cards are essential NFT assets in Pictographs, required to capture photos during quests (as described in the Photo Quests section). Each card has a limited capacity, measured in megabytes (MB), which determines the number of photos a player can take before needing to replace the card.
Memory Card Rarity and Capacity Memory Cards are categorized into five rarity tiers, with higher rarities offering greater storage capacity:
Common: 3 MB (3 photos)
Uncommon: 6 MB (6 photos)
Rare: 12 MB (12 photos)
Epic: 21 MB (21 photos)
Legendary: 42 MB (42 photos).
Acquisition Memory Cards can be obtained as rewards from cases (as described in the Streaks and Cases section) or purchased from other players on NFT marketplaces.
Usage and Replacement Each photo taken during a quest consumes 1 MB of the Memory Card’s capacity. Once the card is full, it must be replaced with a new one to continue participating in quests. To replace a card, players simply insert a new Memory Card, which overwrites the existing one. If the current card still has available MB, those megabytes are not added to the new card’s capacity—only the new card’s full capacity is used. Memory Cards of any rarity can be inserted into a camera of any rarity, providing flexibility in gameplay.
Market Listing Requirements To list a camera on an NFT marketplace, it must have a Memory Card of the same rarity as the camera (e.g., a Rare camera requires a Rare Memory Card). This ensures consistency in value when trading cameras.
