Cameras in Pictographs are not just tools; each camera in Pictographs is an NFT, ensuring a unique digital asset verified on the blockchain. Owning a camera NFT means you possess a unique piece of the Pictographs universe, which can be traded, sold, or utilized in the game.

Here's a deep dive into the world of Pictographs cameras:

Characteristics

Each camera has 3 primary characteristics, each of which influences different aspects of the game. All characteristics can be improved by allocating points you gain leveling up your camera or using boosters for a limited time or on a permanent basis, by installing upgrades on them (relevant for cameras with sockets for upgrades).

Lens - affects the amount of $PICTO token you get for completing quests. The higher this attribute, the higher the reward received for quests.

Streak Power - affects the level of the case you get for the streak, depending on the length of the streak. The higher this indicator, the higher the level of the case you get for the streak.

Cleanability - affects the camera's susceptibility to dirtiness; the higher this characteristic, the fewer $PICTO tokens you'll need to spend on camera cleaning.

Cleanness

When in use, your camera gets dirty, the lens gets smudged, dust accumulates on it, and so on, and you should maintain your camera's cleanliness. A clean camera guarantees the maximum reward for completing quests. As it gets dirtier, its efficiency decreases, and quest rewards become smaller. Therefore, keep an eye on the cleanliness of your camera.

Cleanness at 100%-50%: full quest rewards

Cleanness at 49%-10%: rewards linearly decrease from 100% to 10%

Cleanness <10%: rewards are 10%.

Cameras’ rarity

In Pictographs, cameras are categorized into five levels of rarity. The higher the rarity of the camera, the greater the base values of the camera’s three characteristics, the higher the maximum level to which the camera can be upgraded, and the greater the number of breeds that can be made.
